My wife and I have lived in our second home in 4 years. We moved to Bismarck, ND around 4 years ago into a small starter home with a 1.5 stall garage. I quickly purchased an autostart for my wife so she could park outside and I could lay claim to the garage!
The family outgrew the smaller home fast as we brought a little black lab into the family. His name is Otto, he is no longer little. He is now 80 pounds! In addition to the second dog, I grew out of the 1.5 stall garage quickly. We needed to move.
We found a home on the North side of Bismarck with 2 acres and a 2200 square foot home with 3 stall garage and a detached 2 stall garage (new shop). I installed a pellet stove in the shop to keep it warm in the winter months. 2 years went by and 1 year into the YouTube and content creating. I needed a bigger shop yet. I wanted to build the dream shop but my wife and I discussed it and decided to just move back to our home town and build there.
So that is what we did! We put our house up! It sold in a month and we officially sell the house May 12th. Everything needs to be packed up. House, garage, and the shop.
2 months seems a long time away but it will come fast. With having the evening and weekends to move it will need to be a full court press for the entire 2 months.
What does the move mean for content in the near future? That is a good question. I am not sure! My channel maybe CNC heavy for the near future because it is easy to do CNC projects without a full shop. Typical CNC projects are done with sheet goods.
We have not found a house/property in Fargo yet. New shop size ideally will be 40’x60′ but depending on where we buy, covenants may prevent us from building that large. The second episode of the series will show more on the dream shop.
I am documenting the shop move process as much as possible.
