I encourage you to use the “Contact Me” page if you have any questions for me.
How did you start woodworking?
I have always loved woodworking. I grew up with my grandpa in his woodworking shop, I took wood-shop in high school, and made my first tool purchase when I was in college. The passion has grown ever since!
Do you do this for a living?
No, I wish! I do have a very flexible day job that allows me to get in the shop more than the average 9-5’er.
How do you find the time?
Making projects and filming the builds are unbelievable time-consuming. Especially releasing one video each week! Building the projects and filming at the same time extends the time for each project by 2-3 times. My flexible day job allows me to get a little more time in the shop than a normal 9-5’er. My wife is incredibly supportive and helps in any way she can. Allocating time to the shop on a daily basis is critical for completing projects on time. Sleep is important to a healthy life, so I do my best not to cut into my beauty sleep! But when I am not sleeping I am going 100 MPH.
Do you have any formal woodworking education?
Besides a few classes in high school, no. I am all self-taught by trial and error, online videos and resources, books, and discussions with other woodworkers.
Do you have a CNC machine?
Yes. Detailed content will be released in the future.
How do you choose what projects you do?
Typically projects are chosen out of necessity. Shop projects, items on the honey-do list, or I pull them from the long list of projects that have been thought up over the years.
